Lake Travis Finally Filling Up!

Sterling Custom Homes has been building in the Lake Travis area for over 20 years. In that time, we have seen the lake level fluctuate drastically. Being the variable level lake in the chain of lakes operated by the Lower Colorado River Authority, Lake Travis has fluctuated from a high level of 710 msl in 1991 to it’s lowest level of 614 msl way back in 1951.
More recently, the lake was down to 636 msl in August of 2009. The recent wet weather over the past few months has fortunately brought the lake back up to the near-full level of 676 msl.
We have built many custom homes on Lake Travis over the years. We currently have one project underway at Waterfront in Rough Hollow and another beginning soon in The Reserve at Lake Travis. There are numerous selections that our clients must choose for their custom designed plan; therefore, we have developed proprietary tools to make it an easy and manageable custom home building experience. From the inception of the Sterling Custom Homes CookBookTM, it has been our greatest asset to move our custom clients through the selection process effortlessly. One of the items in the CookBookTM that is vital to keeping our client on track is a construction schedule specific to their custom designed home. It allows them a look into the upcoming construction schedule and provides the client with benchmarks of when to have their custom selection decisions finalized in order to keep their home on schedule. It is important for our clients to understand the construction process and how their decisions can affect the building schedule; therefore, we spend as much one on one time as necessary while educating them on the selection approval process. Spring is fast approaching! While we’re in the midst of cold, wet weather, I know it seems like Spring is still far off, but it won’t be long before we can put our coats back in the closet and return to all of our outdoor activities.
Spring is one of the most pleasant times in Central Texas, and people are always looking for new ways to enjoy the outdoors more. These Outdoor Living Areas are one of the most important features of a new home, for most of our clients these are fully equipped living spaces that just happen to be outside.
