Buying a luxury house on this street means you will be participating in the most extensive light display in Texas! Maybe this is just another great example of the Lone Star State’s enthusiasm for doing things bigger, but the twinkling lights have captured the heart of Austin and America alike. The lights are so popular they have been featured on Good Morning America and in a host of other publications.
In this well-established neighborhood, located near the University of Texas campus, 37th street lights are a 20 year tradition. Austin residents drive from miles around to see the beautiful sparking lights for seasonal inspiration. Lights drape across trees, roof lines, cars, curbs and sidewalks. Known as the best decorated block in Texas, neighborhood residents has even been known to decorate themselves and their pets!

The lights attract literally thousands, so if you are planning to visit make sure to plan ahead and bring your mittens. Also be prepared to look for parking.
Directions: From I-35, exit 38th Street and go west. Once you hit Speedway, start looking for a parking space (remember–no left turn onto Speedway). Try turning on to Cedar (first left after Speedway). If you are coming by way of MoPac, exit 35th Street and go east. (35th becomes 38th). From Guadalupe look for a side street with a parking space.
